RABT is a digital platform which aims to strengthen the value of Oman’s Industrial Sector by enabling In-Country Value (ICV) through Procurement & Investment domains.
RABT intends to link three segments of Stakeholders namely Industrial Organisations located in various Industrial Zones in Oman, manufacturing Oman-made Goods; the Government of Oman through active participation of entities such as Oman Tender Board, and the Industrial Innovation Academy (IIA) which plays a dual role of helping Industries innovate by enhancing In-Country Value (ICV) related models within the Industrial Sector and improving the capability & capacity of Industrial Organisations while being the main Stakeholder of this initiative.
The RABT is operated and implemented by Business Gateways International (businessgateways) on behalf of the Industrial Innovation Academy (IIA).
The objectives of RABT is to:
The validity of the RABT Certificate is 1 Year for both National (Omani) and International Suppliers.
RABT offers two certificates:
a.Industrial Organisation Certificate for Oman Industrial Organisations
Manufacturing companies who deliver Oman-made Goods / Services, based in Oman’s Industrial Estates / Industrial Zones, termed as Industrial Organisations, can register on RABT and obtain the RABT Certificate for Industrial Organisations, after an online Validation Process.
b. Supply Chain Certificate for Suppliers
Suppliers, either from Oman or worldwide can register on RABT and obtain the RABT Certificate for Suppliers, in order to supply to Industrial Organisations.

On successful validation, your company will be awarded with the RABT Certificate, on behalf of IIA, towards the uploaded/verified Products, Finished Goods and Services. The RABT Certificate has a unique RABT Code which is an identifier for the Supplier / Industrial Organisation and can be cited on all Procurement-related opportunities and on RABT-related Support queries.
Suppliers / Industrial Organisations can showcase their certified status by displaying the Certificate on their Business Collaterals and share on Social Media.
Any Company (Industrial Organisations from the Industrial Sector of Oman, and Suppliers from Oman and worldwide) who is interested in Procurement Opportunities within Oman’s Industrial Sector can join the RABT portal.
Company Classification: The Company Classification for Nationals as per the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) .

Business Gateways International LLC Oman (BGI) is the Build and Operate Partner of RABT along with Industrial Innovation Academy (IIA).
The Stakeholders of the RABT application are:
Industrial Organisations are Companies that are established in Oman and are Tenants of any of the Industrial Zones, Free Zones, Special Zones across Oman. These Organisations are also a Manufacturer or Service Provider who hold a valid Industrial License.
Note: The RABT Certification is only issued after successful validation. The Industrial Organisation is requested to submit all their Finished Goods and Services with mandatory documents as required on RABT.
All National and International Companies (other than Industrial Organisations) who would like to show case their Products & Services on RABT for potential procurement opportunities from RABT Stakeholders can apply for the RABT Supply Chain Certification.
Suppliers can add details about their Products & Services on the application form and submit the form for validation.

The RABT Certification fee can be paid online through the Payment Gateway of Bank Muscat hosted on the RABT. It is important that your Credit / Debit Cards are ‘3D Secure’ approved before it can be used for payment on RABT.
The RABT Subscription Fee varies depending on if you are a National (Omani) /International Supplier and Industrial Organisation.
For international Suppliers, the RABT Subscription Fee is USD 385 – for one-year validity.

National (Omani) Industrial Organisations part of the Industrial Sector in Oman can apply for the RABT Industrial Organisation (OISSR) Certificate.
No, the Subscription Fee for International Companies are standard irrespective of their Company Classification. The RABT Subscription fee for Suppliers is set by the Industrial Innovation Academy (IIA) & is based on the Supplier origin (National or International). Further, in Oman, it is based on the Company Classification (SME & Non -SME) as per the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED).

There is no fixed timeline, and it entirely depends on the submission of the completed certification form by the Supplier / Industrial Organisation with the required Mandatory Documents. The Validation is processed based on first come first basis. Generally, the Certification process may take around 2–3 weeks. Completion of the Validation depends on two factors such as completion of Profile Management with the required content and submitting all Mandatory Documents needed for RABT Certificate validation and its approval.
A Certification Form is a vital online form to be filled by the Suppliers / Industrial Organisations with the required information and documentation to process the Validation that leads to the RABT Certification. In addition to the registered details, the Certification Form will also collect all the required information and documentation to comply with the Certification requirement of the Industrial Innovation Academy (IIA).
RABT Certification Form Submissions are processed on a first come, first serve basis subject to proper documents and information submittal.

With the release of RABT, a new Coding system – in house coding system developed by businessgateways (BGI) has been implemented. The BGI Standard Category Code (BSCC) mapped with United Nations Standard Product and Services Code (UNSPSC) and devised to improve the ease and effectiveness of mapping exact Products, Finished Goods & Services.
No, there is no limit to the number of Products, Finished Goods & Services a Supplier / Industrial Organisation can upload on their profile page. However, the approval on RABT is subject to successful validation of the updated Products, Finished Goods & Services. We recommend Suppliers / Industrial Organisations to frequently update their Products, Finished Goods & Services information on RABT.
Yes. The RABT Certification is linked to specific Products, Finished Goods & Services from under the ‘Products & Services’ list for Suppliers and under ‘Finished Goods & Services’ for Industrial Organisation, that are approved by the Validation Team. It is advisable to add all Products, Finished Goods & Services while registering for the RABT to make sure you are not missing any relevant opportunities from the Stakeholders on RABT.
The approval of Products, Finished Goods & Services on RABT is subject to successful validation.
The RABT Certificate provides a feature to view the approved Products, Finished Goods & Services by scanning the QR code on your RABT Certificate. Alternatively, the user can login to RABT and view and download the approved Products, Finished Goods & Services from the ‘Certification Page’.
Option to add the Products / Finished Goods / Services for RABT Certification is available on the Certification Form Dashboard. This will be subjected to validation by the Validation Team.
The option to change the Company Classification is not directly available for a Supplier / Industrial Organisation. The Supplier / Industrial Organisation has to submit a request to the Support team by sending an email to support@rabt.om (Changes in SME status require the latest audited financial report (Turnover Confirmation) and the latest issued Employee details from Ministry of Labour (Employee Count). The Support team will make the necessary changes as requested by the Supplier / Industrial Organisation.)
Option to update the documents is available on the Certification Form page. The update will trigger email / notification to the Validation team and the updated documents will be subjected to Validation.
Validation status can be Approved or Declined, and an email / notification is triggered to registered email ID indicating the Validation status.
The Value Added Tax (VAT) is an indirect tax levied on the consumption of Goods and Services. The Sultanate of Oman has implemented VAT from 16 April 2021. Please note: VAT is applicable only to National (Omani) Companies on RABT.

Yes, there is an expiry date on the RABT Certificate depending on the validity of the Subscription. RABT Subscription duration for both Industrial Organisations and Suppliers (both National and International) is 1 year from the date of Registration.
Note: It is important to update all critical data on the RABT Profile regularly, as such data is usually monitored and brought to the notice of Stakeholders.

A Feature-rich Dashboard is enabled to the Supplier / Industrial Organisation on successful login which has the following options:
Company Profile: A configurable profile for your company to showcase your Company Information with Product & Services Catalogue system, Market presence etc. which can act as an easy configurable website.
Unlimited Users: You can create and manage unlimited Users with Divisions, Departments and access rights. The Administrator will also have the option to monitor the logs.
One of the important features to acquiring the RABT Certification is Visibility; Suppliers gains direct visibility to top Industrial Organisations from across the Industrial Zones in Oman.
Industrial Organisations use the RABT to source verified Suppliers who match their procurement requirement. In the event an Industrial Organisation wishes to deal with a Supplier directly, they will connect via the contact details provided on RABT.
However, having a Local Agent could prove beneficial, as some projects may require a Supplier to have a Local Agent and such information will be available only as part of the tendering process. For example, a Local Agent (if it is an Omani SME) will receive SME Obligation based contract opportunities from O&G Industry of Oman. Both the International Supplier and the Local Agent , can together strive to serve this opportunity successfully.
