The RABT Certification (namely the Industrial Organisation Certificate and Supply Chain Certificate) issued on www.rabt.om after due validation, is governed by the following Terms and Conditions. By using www.rabt.om (Portal) and/or RABT services issued on Portal (Service), You agree that You have fully read and understood the below Terms and Conditions and You agree your company’s acceptance to be bound by the Terms & Conditions of this Agreement.
1.1. “RABT ” refers to the online Oman Industrial Sector Procurement, Investment & ICV Platform.
1.2. “Service” or “Services” refer to the functionalities provided on RABT.
1.3. “IIA” are the owners of RABT.
1.4. “BGI” are the Implementers and Operators of RABT, governed through a Project Partnership Agreement with IIA.
1.5. “Portal” refers to www.rabt.om that is accessible through internet browser or mobile application or any other related media.
1.6. “Portal Admin”, “Admin” refers to BGI.
1.7. “RABT Certified Companies” refers to Industrial Organisations and Suppliers who have registered on RABT and successfully completed the online validation.
1.8. “Industrial Organisations” refers to the companies who are based in Industrial Estates of Madayn or other Industrial Zones of Oman.
1.9. “Suppliers” refers to companies in Oman or worldwide, who supply their Goods / Services to Industrial Organisations.
1.10. “RABT Certificate” or “Certification” refers to the online certificate issued to Industrial Organisations or Suppliers after a due process of registration & validation, which is valid for a specific period of time.
1.11. “RABT Stakeholders” refer to all Users accessing RABT for any reason.
1.12. “You” and “User”, “Supplier(s)”, “Industrial Organisation(s)” and “Stakeholder(s)” as used herein refer to all individuals and / or the company / entity accessing this Portal for any reason.
1.14. “Material” means text, graphics, images and any other viewable item or contents of the Service.
2.1. The Certification is offered for a defined period from the date of issuing the username and password unless and otherwise explicitly mentioned.
2.2. IIA reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to make changes to this Terms and Conditions.
2.3. IIA also reserves the right, at any time, to waive or modify any of the terms of this Terms and Conditions if they apply to a specific item of Certification or a User without affecting the application of these terms to any other Users.
2.4. Any changes made will be effective accordingly when made and the updated Terms and Conditions will be made available to the User via RABT Portal.
2.5. Any User who violates this Terms and Conditions may be banned temporarily or permanently as per the discretion of IIA, from using some or all of the Services.
2.6. If any provision of this Terms and Conditions shall be deemed invalid, void or for any other reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the balance of this Terms and Conditions.
2.7. By registering, You and your company are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and any of the policies and procedures that may be made by IIA from time to time.
2.8. You understand and agree that IIA may send You certain communication in connection with the Services, such as Service announcements and administrative messages, and that IIA may also send You copies of any periodic newsletters or similar informative communications from time to time.
2.9. Any communications sent to You concerning the Services or related matters are not intended to be made public.
2.10. While IIA makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the Services are available at all times, IIA does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and IIA does not guarantee that Users will be able to access or use all the Services or all of their features at all times.
2.11. IIA may change, suspend or discontinue any (or all) Services, or any of their features, at any time, and IIA may also impose limits on the use of or access to certain features or portions of the Services, or restrict your access to any part or all of the Services, in all cases without notice to You or liability to IIA or BGI.
2.12. The information that You supply during the registration process is deemed accurate and complete by IIA.
2.13. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login ID and password.
2.14. IIA disclaims any responsibility or liability arising from your disclosure of any information in the Services.
2.15. Though not under any obligation to do so, IIA or BGI may monitor certain User’s activities.
2.16. IIA reserves the right to review all Users, to remove, or to refuse to display, any User in IIA’s sole discretion and for any reason.
2.17. IIA does not make any promises as to what actions IIA will or will not take with respect to any User who violates the Terms and Conditions, and no such promises should be inferred from either the Terms and Conditions or any communication by IIA.
2.18. IIA does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any User information and You agree that IIA shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of the User’s information and shall not be liable for any damages incurred as a result of the submission or use thereof.
2.19. The User shall not infringe in any manner on the copyright, trademark or intellectual property rights of any User, person or entity, or that contain any confidential or proprietary information of any User, person or entity, or that otherwise violates the legal rights of any person or entity on the Portal. Further all Users shall abide by the International Laws and Regulations that would apply.
2.20. As part of its Services, IIA connects with external source feeds from various entities, such external sources are not controlled by IIA, and no representation is made as to their content.
2.21. IIA makes no representations or warranties concerning the accuracy of the information supplied by the Users or the delivery or transmission of the Service.
2.22. IIA disclaims any responsibility or liability for the conduct of Users or any obligations arising whether directly or indirectly from Certification, including claims for damages and/or for any indemnification whatsoever.
2.23. BGI and IIA shall be indemnified from any and all claims arising out of any kind of loss from anyone using the services of RABT.
3.1. The current Certification Fee (the “Service Fee”) will be automatically billed to User’s account on Registration or before the expiry of the Certification period.
3.2. If User terminates/cancels their Certification before the end of Term for which User had paid the Certification Fee, the User cannot receive a refund of such Certification Fee nor any portions thereof. User will remain liable for any other fees or changes to be paid pursuant to this Terms and Conditions.
3.3. If there are changes in the Certification Fee, brought about due to changes in the Company Classification criteria or any other changes in the Certification criteria, the Users are not eligible for a refund in full or partial of their Certification Fee. Users will remain liable for any other fees or changes to be paid pursuant to this Terms and Conditions.
3.4. In the event of the RABT Certification not being issued due to any reason, including unsuccessful validation arising from documentation insufficiency, the certification fee once paid will not be refunded.
4.1. IIA hosts the RABT on its Portal www.rabt.om.
4.2. IIA provides the Service through the Portal www.rabt.om, which has been built and operated by BGI in accordance with the scope agreed and the mandate given to BGI.
4.3. Some of the Services provided on the RABT are chargeable as per the policies of IIA.
4.4. By registering on RABT, You fully understand and agree that submission of the validation documents do not automatically give You or your company default approval to the RABT and is purely dependent on the successful validation by BGI & IIA.
4.5. You agree not to attempt to influence or impede the Validation Process in any way and that You will comply with all the requirements as laid out by IIA and in accordance with the checklist provided.
4.6. While the intent of the Stakeholders is to be present on the RABT to serve their procurement needs, You fully understand and agree there is no guarantee that the Stakeholders shall be present on the RABT and that their duration of presence on the RABT and the scope of interaction with your organisation is entirely dependent on the Stakeholder’s individual policies and decisions. IIA & BGI cannot be held responsible or liable for any decision made by any Stakeholders or Government Agency or Users related to the RABT.
4.7. You agree that the RABT is a common database of Suppliers. Stakeholders shall decide at their individual capacity, if they need to publish Tenders & Projects, connect with your company and involve in other activities related to their procurement through the RABT. IIA makes no claim that all tenders and project information of the Stakeholders will be visible on the RABT and that is entirely dependent on each Stakeholder’s decision.
4.8. You fully authorise IIA & BGI to access the Data and Information submitted by your company online and offline as part of the Validation Process. You also agree to host the validated data on the Portal www.rabt.om for access by Stakeholders who connect on the RABT for their procurement and other related usage.
4.9. As part of the RABT Services, any Stakeholder(s) or User(s) can appraise the performance of your company and/or any of your company information provided in the Portal. Such performance appraisals will be visible to the other relevant Stakeholders/Users who are part of the RABT Services.
4.10. IIA takes no responsibility on the performance appraisals, rating and comments by the Stakeholder(s) or User(s) as part of the Services on the Portal.
4.11. IIA, while taking all possible steps to ensure confidentiality of your data, does not guarantee in any way that the data will remain secure and confidential on RABT online.
4.12. You agree to manage your data responsibly and ensure compliance to the requirements as laid by RABT. You agree to the best of their abilities to answer the applicable questionnaires seen on RABT, as accurately and completely as possible and submit supporting documents as per the requirement indicated. The submitted information should reflect the actual status of your company and specific products, equipment and / or services offered by You at the time of completion of any questionnaire. Thereafter, You need to utilize RABT to update your company records / documents in a timely manner whenever there is a change in the aforementioned information or records submitted through the respective questionnaires.
5.1. If VAT details have not been provided by Users, then IIA is not responsible for any inability faced by the Users to claim respective tax.
5.2. Users need to provide complete, necessary and timely transactional information in order for IIA to complete and submit VAT and other filings required under the local statutes of Oman.
5.3. Users are subjected to all the applicable taxation laws in Oman and also to the changes implemented from time to time by the respective Regulatory Authorities of Oman.
5.4. It is the Users’ responsibility to provide and update the complete, correct and necessary tax details in RABT and BGI or IIA will not be liable for any losses incurred due to incorrect input seen on RABT.
6.1. Unauthorized use of the Material on the Portal may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.
6.2. You may not sell or modify the Material or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the Material in any way for any public or commercial purpose.
6.3. The use of the Material on any other website for any purpose is prohibited.
6.4. You shall not copy or adapt the HTML code that the User creates to generate its pages. It is protected by IIA’s copyrights.
7.1. The trademarks, names, logos and service marks (jointly “trademarks”) displayed on this Portal are registered and unregistered trademarks of IIA or BGI.
7.2. No content on this should be interpreted as granting any license or rights to utilize any trademark without the prior written permission of IIA.
8.1. Violations of system and network security of the Portal are prohibited and may result in criminal and civil liability. Examples of RABT system and RABT network security violations include the following:

IIA may investigate incident(s) involving such violations, and any violations of this Terms and Conditions that may constitute or have the potential to constitute violations of law, and any activity by Users on network that constitute or may constitute violations of law. You understand that IIA may report any such activity to, and cooperate with, law enforcement, or other legal authorities or processes.
9.1. This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for www.rabt.om. IIA recognizes the importance of your privacy and treats personal information provided on RABT with respect and integrity.
9.2. IIA is committed to the principles inherent in the GDPR and in particular to all concepts of privacy as expected of GDPR.
10.1. RABT and the allied systems used to provide Service are highly secure, and IIA maintains and performs regular audits to ensure Data Security.
11.1. IIA and BGI acknowledges your right to obtain confirmation to whether or not data concerning You is being processed, where and for what purpose. Write to the Data Protection Officer (dpo@rabt.om) for further queries.
12.1. Recognizing the Data Erasure concept or the right to be forgotten, You can write to the Data Protection Officer (dpo@rabt.om) to have your company user data erased, cease further dissemination of the data, and potentially have third parties halt processing of the data, provided the data no longer being relevant to original purposes for processing, or a data subjects withdrawing consent. IIA retains the right to compare the subjects’ rights to “the public interest in the availability of the data” when considering such requests.
13.1. IIA has in place appropriate technical and Organisational measures to implement the data protection principles and safeguard individual rights. IIA has integrated data protection into RABT processing activities and business practices, from the design stage right through the lifecycle.
14.1. IIA and BGI have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on data protection obligations, provide advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and act as a contact point for data subjects and the supervisory authority. 15.1. When You use this Portal, IIA collects official information which You provide on the RABT and information on how You use the Portal, for example by registering to the Portal. This information includes your & your company name, phone number, email address etc.
16.1. RABT accepts online payment where You are required to provide your debit or credit card details during the Certification Fee payment process. Debit or Credit card details are handled by a third-party payment gateway and may be as per your request saved for Service renewal purposes. IIA will never save your actual card details or access it for any reason, whatsoever. IIA is not in any circumstance liable to You, for any loss or damage You may suffer from usage of your credit card on RABT, not limiting to credit card fraud or identify theft.
17.1. This online privacy policy applies only to data collected through the Portal and not to information collected offline.
The Portal uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which uses 256-bit encryption. Your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, etc.) will not be stored on RABT servers.
19.1. The Portal may contain links to other websites. However, once You have used these links to leave the Portal, IIA does not have any control over external websites. Therefore, IIA cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information, which You provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
19.2. If You use a debit or credit card to place payment via the Portal, your details will be passed on to the credit card processor(s), authorized by IIA, who is a third party to delivery of Service, and who will receive your debit or credit card details for transaction.
20.1. Cookies are used on Portal in order to make the Services as effective and easy to use as possible. Cookies are tiny files downloaded to your computer, that are essential to the operation of the Portal. IIA use cookies for a variety of reasons detailed below. It is recommended that You leave all cookies ON, as they are used to improve your overall Portal experience.
20.2. IIA use cookies for the management of the signup process, general administration and provide the functionality to set your preferences. These cookies will usually be deleted when You log out, however in some cases, they may remain afterwards to remember your site preferences.
20.3. The types of cookies on Portal include account-related cookies, login-related cookies, email newsletters related cookies, site preferences cookies and third-party cookies.
20.4. Google Analytics, one of the most widespread and trusted analytics solutions on the web, is used to help IIA understand how You use the site and ways in which IIA and BGI can improve the experience. These cookies may track things such as how long You spend on the site and the pages that You visit so IIA and BGI can continue to produce engaging content.
20.5. IIA also use social media buttons and/or plugins on this site that allow You to connect with your social network in various ways. For these to work, social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube will set cookies through the social media sites which may be used to enhance your profile on those social media sites or contribute to the data those social media sites hold for various purposes outlined in their respective privacy policies.
21.1. You can manage cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help on how to do this). 23.1. You represent and warrant to IIA that all of the information provided, during registration on RABT and participation in the Services, is correct and current, and that You have all necessary right, power and authority to apply for the Service.
24.1. Please be aware that your availed Service on RABT may be revoked if You fail to abide by this Terms and Conditions. In the event this should occur, You agree not to re-register on RABT.
24.2. IIA also reserves the right to disable or terminate a User’s account without notice if there is a period of extended inactivity.
24.3. Users have the right to terminate their Certification on RABT at any time.
24.4. Termination offers no fee refund.
24.5. If your Certification is terminated or deactivated, your name and all information uploaded by You including any or all information available on your pages will be permanently deleted.
25.1. You agree that You will be responsible for any violation of this Terms and Conditions. You further agree to indemnify and hold IIA & BGI and related subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your violation of this Terms and Conditions, or any breach of any representation made by You in this Terms and Conditions, or any violation of any law or the rights of a third party that occurs in connection with your use of the Service.
26.1. BGI or IIA shall have no liability in regard to any Services provided, or to be provided. All Users are independent contractors and not employees, partners or joint venture partners with IIA. IIA or BGI shall have no liability in regard to any benefits provided, or to be provided, by any User.
27.1. Each User, hereby forever releases, acquits and discharges BGI and IIA from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions and causes of action that such User or such User’s legal representatives may have by reason if any monetary damage or personal injury sustained as a result of or during the use of any and all Services available through RABT. The sole recourse available to a User, Certification beneficiary of their legal representative shall be the cancellation of Certification.
28.1. This Terms and Conditions and the respective rights and obligations of the parties hereunder, shall be governed by, and constructed in accordance with the laws of Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute arising between the User and IIA will be settled amicably between the parties; failure to reach an amicable settlement, the matter will be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the laws of Sultanate of Oman.
28.2. You agree that, unless expressly waived by IIA, an action in different jurisdiction can be taken by IIA, the exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to this Terms and Conditions.
29.1. IIA & BGI reserves the right to amend policies related to RABT and Service at any time. Such amendments will be notified through the Portal.
30.1. By using IIA Portal and Services, You un-conditionally consent to this Terms and Conditions.
