Phishing Attack Disclaimer for RABT (rabt.om)

At RABT, we place the highest priority on safeguarding the security and privacy of all RABT Stakeholders, including Industrial Organisations, Suppliers, and other Users accessing the Portal. We strongly urge all visitors, clients, and stakeholders to remain cautious of phishing attacks—malicious attempts by cybercriminals to steal sensitive information by impersonating trusted entities.

How Phishing Works?

Phishing attacks typically involve fraudulent emails, websites, or messages designed to deceive individuals into revealing confidential details such as login credentials, financial information, or personal data. Common phishing tactics include:

  • Fake Emails and Messages: Attackers send fraudulent emails pretending to be from RABT, urging Users to verify accounts or update sensitive details.
  • Spoofed Websites: Fraudulent sites that imitate official RABT pages to trick Users into entering login credentials.
  • Malware and Attachments: Malicious links or files embedded in emails that can compromise security when accessed.

How to Identify Phishing Attempts?

To protect yourself, stay alert for:

  • Unsolicited emails requesting personal, financial, or company-related information.
  • Emails with poor grammar, spelling errors, or urgent demands for immediate action.
  • Warnings like “Your account will be suspended!” are common phishing tactics to create panic and prompt quick action.
  • Look out for emails from addresses that mimic our domain, e.g., support@rabt1.com instead of support@rabt.om.
  • Phishing emails often include links that don’t match the official domain. Always hover over links to preview the real URL.
  • Be cautious of websites without security certificates. Always ensure the URL begins with https:// before entering any login details.
  • RABT will never ask you to log in via a random link in an email. Only log in directly through the official portal.
  • Emails claiming you’ve “won a prize”, lottery winnings, or unusual job offers are almost always scams.

Do not download files from untrusted sources, especially file types like .exe, .zip, or .scr that may contain malware.
